The stages of development of the Institute for Animal Husbandry , its organizational structure , personnel and activities written in more detail in the monograph published by the institute in 2002 for the 50th anniversary of its existence.

Research and overall activity are realized in the Institute aims at improving livestock production in the country. It includes the following activities : coordination and implementation of identification , control production and reproductive traits , keeping the herd book and testing , ranking and selection of breeding material full of all kinds of domestic animals . This activity -based interventions for other zootechnical improvement of livestock production , the continued activity related to the evaluation of krmite for all types and categories of animals , quality control and complete ration krmite , introduction of new and unconventional sources of nutrients and their testing practical nutrition , development of technological solutions utilizing krmnata base , introducing new technologies of breeding animals by defining ambient conditions , nutrition and proper management of animal husbandry with the progress realized through selekciskite and other factors ; activities related to processing and finishing of animal products followed by finding the optimal solutions in our conditions ; research related to the quality of the water environment as the fish productivity of water and wildlife in it .

Starting with a modest number of research personnel in the distant 1952, the Institute today represents a highly developed scientific and educational institution that has seen success in the research , application , and higher education publishing . Today it will create ten PhDs , seven of whom are professors of postgraduate studies in the field of animal husbandry and fisheries , three assistant masters and ten associates – laboratnti .
